The Cost of an Arial Home The cost of an Arial Home depends on a large number of factors, such as: How large of a home is desired? The building system is highly modular. We have built small Arial Homes at 320 square feet, many at 460 square feet, and our latest ones are all 3 bedroom models at 605 square feet. What kind of site preparation work is needed? Does the location have public utility water? Does the location have ready access to a sewer pipeline? Does the location have easy access to public utility electricity? Will the home have indoor plumbing? Will the home have electricity? How
many windows are desired? The list goes on causing the complication in estimating costs. This Bill of Materials is for our highest end, 605 square foot home with indoor plumbing, waterless toilet, solar electric system and solar hot water system at a cost of almost $14,000 and is subject to change. The cost can be reduced by eliminating the things that would not be required for each particular home. A small home would have half as many panels.
These costs are based on having a local factory in the country to manufacture the panels and pre-fab the plumbing and electricity. Currently, there are Arial Home factories in Ensenada, B.C., Mexico producing homes for the working poor locally and Riviera Beach, Florida, USA that is for research and development. The Arial Home Initiative is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to build Arial Home factories and homes.
